Minute to Win It
I have done this two or three times--I even have an Easter edition version. This is SO fun. Not the kind of activity that is going to lead to a spiritual experience or a lot of song-learning, but a LOT of fun! The file has it all typed one one page, but I've also copied and pasted it here.
Marshmallow Toss
Needs: Marshmallows, Cups
Students partner up and stand across from each other, about 2-4 feet apart.
One person has a handful of marshmallows and the other has a small paper cup. Students have one minute to toss as many marshmallows into the cup as possible.
Penny Tower
Needs: Lots of pennies
Players have one minute to stack as pennies with one hand as they can. It’s harder than you may think!
The winner is the person who has the highest stack after one minute.
Marshmallow Race
Needs: Marshmallow, piece of tape, straws
Break the group in half and draw a line in the middle of the table. Each side uses inexpensive plastic straws to try to blow the marshmallows to the other side of the line. The team with the most after one minute wins.
Each person plays individually and has one minute to blow a single marshmallow from one side of the table to the other. The person with the most at the end wins.
Ping Tac Toe
Needs: Ping Pong Balls, nine cups with water in it.
Make a grid formation with the nine glasses. The player must bounce three balls into the glasses. Does it sounds easy!? Okay, get those three balls in a row within a minute to win.
Stick the Landing
Needs: A water bottle, sealed.
Toss the water bottle in the air and make sure it land upright. Achieve this in one minute to win.
Whipper Snapper
Needs: Laundry basket, hand towel, ping pong balls
Keep the laundry basket 15 feet away from the player. To win this game, the player must flick the ping pong balls using the towel and make it fall into the basket within 1 minute.
